ATLANTA (September 19, 2018) – Starting on October 1st, the Ron Clark Academy (RCA), traditionally a 5th-8th-grade middle school, will now be adding 4th grade. The Academy will accept applications for students currently in the 3rd or 4th grade. The application window will close on October 31st at 11:59 PM EST. In addition to being in the 3rd or 4th grade during the application process, eligible students must be Georgia residents and enrolled in a Georgia school by October 1st. Students who are accepted will be enrolled as rising 4th and 5th graders in the 2019-2020 school year.

After this year, the admissions process will only accept applications from 3rd grade students. As such, this is the last year the school will accept applications from 4th grade students. Regardless of the situation, RCA does not accept applications for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Additionally, there is no waiting list for students to gain acceptance.

In regards to the student body, the Ron Clark Academy is inclusive, benefiting students regardless of gender, race, socioeconomic status or religion. Furthermore, RCA accepts all different types of students as some are academically gifted, others have achieved average results in school, and some have yet to reach their full academic potential. The financial status of RCA families varies as well, ranging from households with a high income to others earning a lower income. Tuition is based on a sliding scale and is dependent upon a family’s income, which is inclusive of child support, alimony, disability and any other type of income that contributes to the household.
